Esaexpo has collaborated in the realization of ? La montagna incantata by Remo Wolf " exposition organized by the Municipality of Folgaria (Trento - Italy) and presented at Maso Spilzi Museum (from July 25th to August 30th, 2009). Remo Wolf (Trento - Italy 1912-2009) was a painter and a xylographer who has recently died. He took part in four editions of the International Biennale of Art in Venice and is considered one of the most important European xylographers of the last century.
Josef Maria Auchentaller is coming back to his roots. Following the success of the exhibition "Josef Maria Auchentaller: Secessionist on the edge of the Empire" last summer at the Gorizia Provincial Museums, and currently at the Civic Gallery in Bolzano, the exhibition will be coming to Vienna from June to September 2009 to take up residence in the rooms of the prestigious Leopold Museum. The exhibition presents Auchentaller the artist to the public in the context of his whole oeuvre for the first time. He was a leading light of the Viennese Secession, working alongside Gustav Klimt, the painter, graphic artist and illustrator of the important "Ver Sacrum" magazine. www.leopoldmuseum.at
Tex Willer is 60. It was in September 1948, from the creativity and inspired storytelling of Gianluigi Bonelli and the brushwork of Aurelio Galleppini, that Italy's best-loved comic book hero was born. There have now been sixty years of adventures enthralling generations of Italians. Esaexpo celebrated the world of the Eagle of the Night with the cycle of exhibitions "On the trail of Tex" (2005). The comprehensive catalogue produced for the occasion (with 152 pages and 220 colour illustrations) is still available and may be ordered from the catalogues section of the esaExpo site.
